Login automatically in window XP

If your Windows XP installation forces you to login every time you reboot, Sometimes this seems very annoying especially when you are installing a bunch of software or testing out configurations. Now you can automate the login process easily so that you won't have to login again.

For security reasons, you would usually want to have a password, but for a home computer you may not care.
Here are steps to automate the login process in window XP :
1). Go to the Start menu, click Run, and type control userpasswords2.
2). Uncheck this box user must enter a user name and password to use this computer.
3 ). Click the OK button.
Its Done.
A password dialog will open for the currently logged in user. Now when you reboot your system, you will automatically be logged in.

Manage Your Startup Programs

Startup Programs are the Programs that runs automatically on windows logon. Microsoft leaves no way to clean up this list, but here is a way to manage them..


1. Open MSconfig and click on the startup items tab

2. Open Regedit and naviate to

HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Sharedtools/MSconfig/startupreg

3. Compare the list of registry keys under startup reg with their counterparts in
msconfig.

4. Delete the keys which are no longer valid.

5. You've cleaned up msconfig.

Turn On/Off numlock on StartUp

Mostly keyboards have small numeric keypad which can also be used for some other functions like page up, page down. It also has 1 key known as numlock key when it is on, keypad used for numbers and when numlock is off, keypad used for other functions.
Windows turn off numlock key by default, so if you want to turn on numlock key by default on start up then now you can do it very easily. You have to do only some changes in registry. Just follow these steps:
